Yvan Maxi is the founder and President of Optimum Financial & Tax Services, Inc. He specializes in Accounting, Bookkeeping & Tax Services for small businesses with less 50 employees, and tax preparation and tax resolution for individuals.
Yvan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business. He worked as a financial ofﬁcer for Goodwill in New York City until 1997 when he left to pursue entrepreneurial aspirations. In 1998, Yvan founded OFTS, a Tax & Financial planning firm. Yvan is certiﬁed as a registered Financial Consultant, an IRS Enrolled Agent, an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA), an Accredited Tax Preparer (ATA), a certiﬁed QuickBooks consultant.
Yvan’s goal at OFTS is to offer tax payers a viable alternative when it comes to tax preparation and tax resolution. His belief is that tax payers deserve to be coached on how to lower their tax exposure and have their questions answered by a knowledgeable tax professional. OFTS is readily becoming a known name in the tax preparation and tax resolution industries for bridging quality and competency back into the tax preparation business.
Yvan is a proud member of the Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce, National Society of Accountants (NSA), American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS) the National Association of enrolled Agents (NAEA), the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).
Yvan believes in that continued education and afﬁliation with strong professional organizations are a key success in any profession. He has received numerous honors including the Award of Excellence from the Haitian Bethany Baptist Church, the Union County College in ﬁeld of Accounting, the Gold Starter award from Mutual of Omaha.
He served as board member and Church Treasurer for 12 years at the Haitian Bethany Church; as Co-chair of the Men’s Association for 6 years; and as a Sunday School Teacher for 8 years.
Yvan has engaged in numerous Public Speaking Engagements – he has presented Biblical Financial Stewardship Worships at churches throughout the state. Born in Haiti, Yvan has lived in New Jersey for the past 27 years.
